are 850s good?? 850 1993

In general, VERY good! I personally prefer the 200s, but my wife has a 97 850 wagon with 210K on it that I maintain. It's solid as a rock. There's less room to maneuver in the engine compartment, making some replacements trickier to do. It will have OBD or OBD-II, which IMHO are very nice to have (of course you need an OBD reader if you're a do-it-yourselfer). Saves all kinds of diagnostic time.

The A/C system is said to be problematic, but ours is okay so far. Goes through front tires like any FWD, unless you rotate them regularly.

Don't know why, but the front brake lines (the flexible ones that go to the calipers) have a tendency to develop hairline cracks in the rubber covering. I don't think the cracks are serious, but I replace 'em anyway.
