Procedures to clean the ETM S80

I did some ETM cleaning on our V70 myself, the idea was to postpone the ETM failure but it will probably not help. Anyway, the throttle did show sticking tendencies before cleaning and moves smoothly after..
Unscrew the clamp around the air intake hose and withdraw it from the ETM
The throttle is now visible and can be carefully opened with a finger (dont know if it may damage something but mine survived at least..) Clean the bore with a clean rug and cotton tops, a small amount of alcohol dissolves the black smear. Careful though, it is probably not good if alcohol enters the bearings. The most tricky part was to clean the edges of the throttle and the bore next to the throttle shaft, it took some time and patience but now its shining..
