S60 Stereo Speakers S60 2001

I have an intermittent problem with the HU-613 Stereo. One of the speakers, of course the left front door sounds like it’s blown. It has a scratchy and far away sound. One of the rear ones was definitely blown and replaced by Volvo under warranty.

But the problem is - most of the time the speaker sounds fine - but intermittently it sounds horrible - then great again - then horrible. So it would seem that the speaker is not completely bad.

And of course it’s the closest speaker to the driver’s ear!

Has anyone else had any issues like this? Are there any instructions out there on removing the door panels so I can install aftermarket speakers if this persists.
