Replacing Brake Hoses, Front Calipers on 850 850

I plan to replace front calipers and want to replace the brake hoses while doing this. I always check this board first before doing any job.

My 95 Volvo 850 has 143K mikes on it, and the hoses do have cracks in them. They are on the surface, and the inner tube is probably OK, but I would rather see new hoses there.

Is there any trick or any difficulty in unscrewing/screwing in hoses? Which side goes first? Do I use any sealant? How do I make sure that the hose is aligned and is not twisted after the job is done? Any advise is appreciated.

Yuri
