V70 vs XC AWD - both 2001 2001

Looking into possibly replacing 94 manual tranny 850 with either a newer version. On the same lot found 2 2001 Volvos both about 50k miles that came off lease. One is V70, non-turbo FWD. Other is XC AWD turbo and much more bells & whistles and only 2k more.

What are experiences with either model that you may have had.

Specifically MPG of each and differences in routine maintenance? Compared to my 850s I can see differences and some things that are familar... but how much is the diffence between the two and what do they mean?

Thanks,

Ken
