Oxygen Sensor Replaced Check Engine light remains on /Bosch Universal Sensor V70-XC70 1999

I just replaced my O2 sensor on my 99 V70. Disconnected the battery for 2 hrs . Took the car out and 10 mins later check engine light re appeared. I read some of the posts and was wondering if there is a specific drive cycle that needs to be completed. Also I used the Bosch after market Universal sensor with the splicing kit. My sensor had a blue 2 black and a white wire. The universal had a white grey and 2 two black wires. I hooked the blue to the black the 2 blacks to white and the grey to white , the color code sheet was hard to decifer. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
