Symptoms are usually a code stored, 123 I think, for a faulty ECT. Replacement is simple, drain the coolant, remove the thermostat housing and thermostat, remove the ECT and replace, replace the thermostat with a new one while you are in there and bolt it all back together and fill it back up with coolant.
