Rick--compare Volvo Houston 1-800-468-0041 before buying from FCPGroton. I find the latter more expensive. I buy all my Volvo parts from Houston. Volvo parts vary a lot from dealer to dealer, basically what they think the traffic will bear, but if you tell your local dealer you can get the same part for so much from another dealer, many times they will match the price and you save yourself shipping.

I drive a 97R wagon and would be curious to know what you consider the best all-season radial. I'm sitting here in the Willamette Valley (Oregon) and we're wet nine months out of the year almost. I wanted something that rode quite and gripped the pavement like a cat on a rug. I've looked at a lot of different tire sizes before discovering that I could only use a 40 to 50 series on it but not a 55, which is standard on all the T-5's but not the R apparently because of the sport suspension. When I bought it, it had 215-40-17's on the front and 215-45-17's on the back. Toyos on the front, Dunlops on the back. What a bastard mix. Have to buy a new set shortly. Have checked tirerack.com, but need more information before I can make an intelligent choice. Any recommendations much appreciated. Dick
