Must say, the heat on mine is slow to come up. Might be a similar problem. I'll be diving into the dash soon, got the car only the other day. But 99% sure the heater valve will be vacuum controlled and might have a leak or blockage or the computer is screwed (if computer controled). Either way, diving into the dash is probably one of the first things to do.
