Using my floor jack to lift both wheels is great for tire rotation. When my daughter started to drive, I bought her a AAA card and a cell phone. She isn't strong enough to break the lug nuts loose by herself anyway.
The trunk jack is worthless, along with the temp spare. Get a flatbed tow and have the tire fixed/replaced.
