So far, I love 'em, but I haven't had snow yet... I'm in New York. Great in the wet though. And their wet braking performance is excellent. They seem quite resistant to aquaplaning also, but I really have no way of exploring their limits on wet roadways. Dry roads... yes. They don't squeal, and they don't suddenly lose traction.
Silent and smooth normally. Haven't smoked 'em yet... :)
I read one response from a user who had experienced excessive tread edge wear, in spite of being a conservative driver.
I have about 8200 miles on a set of 205/55-16's mounted on 16x6.5 Columbia rims. So far they are not showing any unusual wear. I rotate them every oil change.
