My tranny (93 850 w/158,000 miles Automatic) has been shifting rough lately and upon inspection of the fluid i noticed it is kind of brown with a burnt smell, this weekend i am planning on flushing it.

1)Do I need to follow the procedure outlined on bay 13 or i can just drain and fill?

2)Are there are filters/gaskets that should be checked/replaced while I'm at it?
