Hi. I've been a Volvo owner since the early 1970's, but the latest model I have had is the 240 -- I have two '93's and a '84 right now. But while my daughter also likes Volvo's (it's rubbed off on her, happily), a 240 is rather archaic for her (and given her age, I can't blame her).
Anyway, she's finishing law school and has already been hired by a very well-paying firm, so she wants to start by buying a nice car (meaning, to her, a car with modern equipment). Since she'll be working far from me (too far for me to help her if she needs a repair), I'm thinking that she's best off buying a new car which a dealer will be responsible for fixing (i.e., warranty).
I've driven S40's quite a few times (as a dealer 'loaner', when they're working on my cars), and I'm not crazy about it -- too small, and poor rear visibility. But a couple of times they gave me a S60 as a loaner instead, and that was better. So I'm thinking of suggesting that to my daughter.
But before I do, I'd like to know what you folks who have owned an S60 think of it after you've owned it for a while. How's the reliability been; how's your satisfaction with it (how it drives, etc.)?
All your responses are appreciated. Thanks to all of you, in advance.
