I had a very similar problem with my '93 850 GLT last year. The REC and AC lights were blinking and the airflow functions were screwed up. The same error codes as well.
I inherited these symptoms from the previous owner.
I was determined to solve the problem and ventured under the dash at least six times to nose around. Then it dawned on me. The previous owner said he had the evaporator replaced. Since the AC was completely serviced, it weighed considerably in my decision to buy the car from the old man.
I discovered the connectors to the the damper motors were exactly the same. It turned out the mechanic who serviced the evaporator had placed all three connectors on the wrong damper motors.
A few minutes of trial and error, and I had the damper motors correctly wired!
I ran the damper motor recalibration procedure, cleared the codes, and problem solved.
Hope this helps.
