gas leak? 850

Right...hose clamp...missed that earlier. Apparently, hard to see but probably that clamp itself that rubs...small crack or hole created in the tank at the upper level (where you can't see easily)...with summer heat and gasoline expansion, including vapors, the leak begins. It is a safety issue, as you suspect, thus the recall.
