Brake feel 850

Mr Norm's advice is on the money. It's possible that the brake fluid is contaminated, and that can result in a spongey pedal feel.

850 brakes, in my opinion, are terrific. However, I don't think that they have the "direct" feel that you associate with the 240.

Steel brake lines are nice, but won't make much difference.
