Dash light replacement V70-XC70 1998

When one of my instrument bulbs failed, I checked my Haynes Repair Manual. Believe it or not, you must remove the entire dash upper fascia to gain access to the instrument cluster. I would not suggest attempting this without finding a Haynes (or other) manual for guidance. One step requires disconnecting the passenger air bag. Also, there are many #25 Torx screws in the fascia, some hidden behind vents and speaker covers.

Get a #25 Torx driver and study your Manual before you begin. Once you have gone to all the trouble of removing the upper dash, you might consider replacing ALL the bulbs. Murphy's Law tells us that, if you do not, one will fail as you drive the last Torx during reinstallation.

This has come up on the BB before, so you may find some additional info by searching the archives.

Good luck .... and tell us how it went after the job is done.
