Saw a write-up on the heater core replcement prodedure on volvospeed.com in the forum section (with pictures, so do a search there...sorry I don't have a link). It wasn't that difficult...and didn't require taking the entire dash out which the evaporator does. Just my thoughts on this...if your evaporator is okay, don't do an 8 hour replacement job on the heater core by taking the entire dash out...if you do it, it will be a head ache. If you let someone else do it, it will cost you $$$.
