Door hinge broke 850 1997

Usually the big bang means the spring for the door stop (the one between the hinges) has broken.
To replace it you need to replace the door stop.
The cracked welds will usually make the noise everytime you open and you close the door.
Fixing the cracked welds involves welding or drilling thru the spot welds and inserting a bolt and nut to keep the assembly in place.
