car will not start 850

Vinnie,

When you use the phrase "will not turn over," that means something very specific to a mechanic. And from your question about the distributor cap, it sounds like you are using that phrase incorrectly and, therefore, giving us conflicting information.

So, let's start from the beginning.

After you replaced the wires, and tried to start the car, you turned the key and what happened?

Did the engine not make any noise at all?

Did the engine turn over (ruh-ruh-ruh-ruh-ruh-ruh-ruh) but not start (sometimes people say it did not "catch")?

From your first posting, which said that it would "not turn over," that indicates that the engine did not make any noise at all. The reason this is confusing is that, even if you made an error replacing the wires, that should not have any influence on the ability of the engine to turn-over. So, either the information you are giving us is incorrect, or something else is happening here.

Please clarify.

Ken
