Thanks all for your input. I purchased the vehicle from Volvo Finance for $16,000. They would not go any lower and since the residual was $19,000, I felt I got a reasonable deal. The car has 39,000 miles and is in excellent condition. My Volvo service guy said I would be crazy to buy a new one as it is almost the same car and mine was in such good shape. Volvo Finance has nothing to do with the warranty so I have to go back to my Volvo retailer for that. Warranty Direct has the same warrany for $2,200, $500 less than Volvo and is rated the best company for this stuff, but I haven't decided yet what to do. I plan on keeping the car for 4 more years and probably 30,000 additional miles, so I'm still wondering if it's worth paying for a warranty at all. Thanks again
