ETS light on again after Volvo service V70-XC70

Do they replace it with a beter one ( updated) or with the same crap they put in the first place? I realy would like to get a newer Volvo but I'm kind of turned off by this ETM failures. I would like to keep the car longer than 200k. ( Curent '90 765 has 225K and start showing the age).

I like the Cross County or a nice V70 but I'm not thrilled by AWD ( Arizona) were 850 any better?
