Coolant Smell V70-XC70 1999

Its the heater core radiator. It may only have a small weeping leak, enough for you to smell it but not enough to wet the carpet. Mine was like that for about a year before the leak got serious enough to require changing the heater core. I purchased a new heater core for about $100 and replaced it myself using the instructions on volvospeed. It took less than two hours.
