I'm spending my Friday replacing the outer driver's side CV boot. Removing the axle unit was a breeze. I'm trying to get the outer section of the axle off so I can put the boot on. I'm keeping the clip in its open position with a pair of hemostats and using a small ballpeen hammer to gently tap the outer bearing unit that has the splines that fit into the axle wheel bearing. Any suggestions?
I'm going to have some lunch to give my brain a rest for a while & hope someone has a good suggestion.
Thanks in advance.
