98 V70 AWD

Quite unusual to require tranny work, MC, and brake lines for a 1998. These three items seldom fail or require replacement. The electrical bits, yes. Ball joints so early?
If your car rattles a lot, see if the front hood is loose. Just grab it above the headlight and wiggle it up and down. This is true for a couple of us on the board and we are working on a fix. If the trunk lid rattles, turn the rubber stops about 2mm to increase tension.
My heat shield at the cat rattles until warm up is complete - about 2 minutes.

The best thing about these cars is the ability to do most of the work at home, saving labor costs. Leave the hard stuff to guys like Rule308.
