Turned out to be the master switch, about $125 plus a bit of time in the driveway. FYI, the manual recommends loosening the entire door panel, reaching in from the top of same, and pushing the assembly up and out of the arm rest. I wound up prying it out from the top instead, leaving a few small tick marks in the plastic surround even after taping the pried area beforehand.
Friction fit, with four small friction spring sections. One of those things that takes a bunch of thinking to do the first time, and will take nno time at all the second time.
