Low pressure vs. High pressure turbo

The T5s (the high-pressure turbo) have a reinforced engine block, forged - instead of cast - crankshafts and sodium-filled exhaust valves. It's a MUCH more robust motor than the LPT or the NA, and also (theoretically) likely to last longer unless its days are spent flat-out on the Autobahn. If your trunklid says "T5" it's probably a high pressure turbo.
