I did this on my 98 V70, but your car is probably different. The grilles were integral to the door panels on my car. You risk breaking it trying to remove it separately.

There were some carefully hidden Torx screws I had to remove and some difficult trim around the inside door handle. Once done, I used a stiff plastic putty knife to work around the perimeter of the door panel and pried it loose from the plastic clips that hold it in place.

Again, your interior is different from mine.
