HEADLIGHT SWITCH REMOVAL V70-XC70

It pulls straight out of the dash. Pull the knob off of the pot, then gently work the unit straight out with a pair of plyers on the pot shaft. This gets the job done and doesn't mess up the plastic like it would if you tried to pry it out around the edges.

Or, if you haven't taken advantage of the recall on this part yet, just go to the nearest Volvo dealer and let them pull it out and put in a new switch for you at no cost.
