It's a Volvo, so it has all of the Volvo quirks. Be wary with the AC evaporator, they tend to leak and the cost to repair is over $1200. Make sure it comes with a service history that you can read. And 2 key fobs.
Front wheel drive is much better in the snow, but there is no more oversteer to correct for. The engine and tranny are pretty good, but the electrics are just as bad as ever. Watch for the vinyl bubbling above the armrests on all of the doors. At least the V70 doesn't have the vinyl pucker on the door sill.
Drive it with a critical mind set. Look at the tranny fluid to make sure it doesn't smell burned. It's going to rain tomorrow so you can check out the traction control (TRKS only works under 25mph) and the ABS.
I still like the styling of the 960 better.
