Sun roof: pull out the switch on the dash board and check the power supply there before you pull off the roof panel. My 98 has a lot of rust on the sunroof itself and the motor will not move it without a helping hand (pushing down on the wind deflector seems to help.
Door switches: So the key works, but not the lock switch on the armrest? If so, it probably got wet once or twice and needs cleaning. The whole switch unit lifts out of the armrest. Replacement of the unit requires reprogramming at the dealership, really stupid move by the factory.
Don't bother getting a new key fob or two. It doesn't do much more than the key and it takes up too much room in your pockets.
