I am not aware of a way to fix it, you just have to replace it. After buying one on Ebay that wasn't too hot, I got my second one here: http://erievovo.com/specials.asp Call them up and insist they sell it to you for the $45 shown on their website (plus shipping). They give a Lifetime Replacement Warranty, which may be a good thing given the fact that inevitably, all those used visors are pretty old. Regardless of where you buy yours, most do come with the wires for the lighted mirror. To connect the wires, pop off the interior trim that runs vertically along the window on the driver's side.
The whole job is simple.
