Somebody needs to check voltage at the battery terminals and at the starter when cold to determine whether you have a failing cable, bad battery, or bad connection. Once voltage to the motor is confirmed, a current test will help diagnose whether you are losing 1/2 of the motor (therefore 1/2 torque).
