On my wife's 2001 V70 2.4T the heater blower turns on about a half hour after the car has been parked. The blower continues to run for a very long time, hence running the battery flat. I understand this was done to dry off the evaporator coil after the car was stopped. But this is a really dumb idea if this thing continues to run the battery flat. There are no other loads on the battery except this thing. I've checked and there is no substantial load on the battery when the car is shut off.
Any ideas on how to resolve this really dumb idea? Can I install a kill switch on the wiring going to the heater blower?
