Thinking about buying a 98 V70XC to replace 1990 245DL V70-XC70

Be sure the tires are correct and not mismatched. Odd paired tires can mess up the AWD system. 98 is a good year- 99-00 are bad b/c of the ETM problems. Maybe have a good look for oil leaks and whether the PCV system (oil trap) has ever been serviced? Clogged systems can blow rear main seals! Other problems include the windown switch- cheap design and wears out. ABS modules tend to go, but there is a mailorder shop that can fix them for about $150 (can't recall the site).

Too bad you're not in Ontario, Canada! I'm selling my 98 v70 AWD- I love it but need a van!

Good luck with your search!!!
