Dash loose S70

V320,

If it's loose you can tighten the 4 bolts under the cowl. You have to remove the wiper arms and drain hoses as well as the 5 or 6 torx screws to lift it off.

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the bolts. About 10 lb. ft. is enough.

If the mounts on the dash have been broken then you'll need to remold them with a product like PlastiFix.

BTW the dash in my S70 makes snapping noises over rough roads especially if the sun has heated it and I have the AC running. The noises seem to be in the glove box area.

I think that this is typical for the 850/70 series cars.
