C70 convertible....replace rear shocks

I removed everything from the trunk, including all the covering from the sides and from the back of the rear seat, no shocks.
Got under the car to line up the shocks for the location inside the car, it seems the top of the shock is somewhere under the back of the rear seat.
I think i need a Volvo mechanic.
