Crankcase ventilation and CV boots 850

When the boot cracks, it is easier and better to just replace the whole joint.

If this car is a turbo, check the oil return line. Because it smokes after long idling, I suspect that oil is dripping on the exhaust pipe, close to the firewall.
The oil separator probably needs to be cleaned out and the pipes unplugged.

Oops, just noticed, non-turbo. Clean the separator anyway.
