Alpine CD Changer 850

I purchased the alpine cd changer and ran all cables to the trunk, yada,yada, yada....there is a silver adapter that the plug runs from...one plug goes into the stereo head and the other goes to the changer...there is 1 yellow cable that runs from the silver adapter that says 12 volt constant on it, can I just attach this to ANY red cable coming off the stereo harness or is there a certain cable this should connect to?
