I have the same car 94 850 turbo wagon,

having the same problem, did the same hoses you did, pcv and any cracked hoses, runs better, but can feel when the car will throw the check engine light, it will hesitate and then the check engine light will pop

feel it is not the knock sensor, but it has the 143 code,,,,,, what is it????

did you come to any conclusion?????
