You live in the wrong zip code Mark. In the twin cities, indies are getting $90-100/hour and the dealer only $115. Most Volvo indies here use generic parts, not OEM, and that infuriates me to no end.
I am going to make an appointment this week to have the AWD oils changed and the front end aligned (right front pulls a little). If he drills drain holes, it may cost a little more!
My timing belt is due in 15K miles and I will ask him what his charge will be. I like to keep my dealer happy and on my side, but he also knows that I do a lot of my own maint.
