Search here for Victor Rocha...he's the U.S. ABS guru, then write him. He will accept your ABS unit from Australia or anywhere else in the world for that matter and fix it (actually rebuild it to better standards than new) and send it back to you much cheaper than you can get an exchange. Btw, in regards to your ABS unit, I'm 100% sure that it is your control module from your description. It's a common problem and well documented here. I too had Victor fix mine ($150 U.S. including shipping round trip) and I could not be happier!
