I have a 99 Volvo s80. The check engine light keeps coming on. I was unaware to use 91 Octane gasoline when I bought the car. I had filled it three times with 87 Octane. The dealer where I bought the car keeps telling me its because it had 87 octane in it. Now I had used 93, and the light was reset and came on again yesterday. He said the car has to get use to the higher octane again and thats why the check engine light comes on. He said the code that comes up is P1330 MFR Controlled Ignition System or MissFire. Is this code for anything else that could be wrong with my car? My warranty is up soon and I don't want to have to pay for it. Please help!!!!!! Would the 87 octane and now the switch to 91 or better make this code come up? My brother in law is a mechanic and said something about the oxygen sensor. Could this be it?
