You pretty much have to get the key from the dealer. For the remote, even the 99 (and I believe the 2000) can be bought elsewhere. A company called keylessRide sells remotes that will work. Their website is: http://www.keylessride.com/. They also list places where they say you can get it programmed, but I had no success with those in my area. Still had to have the dealer do the programming. But the remote was about half the cost of one from a dealer.
