I bought my 96 new and consider it the best car I've ever had--my first was a 65 Mustang, bought it new...
-850s are harder to work on than your 760
-Very hard to find manual turbos
-Interference engine--MUST be sure to change timing belt, tensioner, etc as required by manual
-Rear engine seal tends to go bad and an expensive fix--need to keep turbo oil trap clean
-A number of electrical sensors scanned by the computer, which, if any go bad will stop the car. I've been stranded once by a failed cam position sensor
If you find one in decent shape with complete service records indicating careful maintenance, should be a good car. There have been posts here about 850s with over 350k miles.
The turbo is a gas to drive, way more fun than your 760 but you will spend more on maintenance.
