I have to admit that when you get out of so. cal and into the colder climates you see alot of XC's and Subarus. The Subarus seem to have the edge over the XC's though. I would not own an XC70 due to their inherent problems with the angle gear, expensive to say the least. I'd be more inclined to get a '98 V70 with low miles.
