I just replaced my odometer gear, and when I did I noticed the new one is a few hundreds of an inch thicker than the original (the hub of the gear). I wondered if it would drag in the housing, but thought is was most likely ok. I never noticed before, but my odometer steps (about 12 clicks per mile). Yes, I am very happy it works and it is accurate, but is it designed that way? My guess is yes since it is electronic, not cable driven. Thanks! Don
