New Keys and Remotes? S80 2000

I just got a 2000 S80 T6 and we need to get more keys and remotes. It only came with 1 key and no remote. Dealer tells me that keys are $30 ea plus software charge of $30 plus labor of $50 ea. Remotes are $104 ea plus $30 and $50 ea. Is there any other way around these costs. Could I get a "scan-tool" and do it myself? I know I can get remotes from e-bay for way less.
