Do you mean the bulb burns out? Or something else fails? If you have daytime running lights, 3 bulbs in 50,000 miles does not seem excessive to me. On the earlier S70/V70, when you drive on a nice day, you can set your headlight switch to position 2, and the headlights will be off.
