I happen to have a complete set of identical parts for this car.I'll try changing ignitions switches.
I don't undestand why that would affect the way the transmission shifts though.
The same thing happened the other day without the flashing dash lights.
The tranny suddenly downshifed to third at about 50 mph and stayed that way for 10 or so miles then started shifting normally. When I dropped the speed down to about 40 it downshifted again to 2nd gear and upshifted when the rpm got to about 4000
